We recommend a home stay for all our students. In this way the student will learn more about Spanish culture and customs and will have more opportunities to practice Spanish.
If you prefer not to stay with a host family, we advise you to apply at least one month in advance, specially for the summer period. We will attempt to find an accommodation in a residence hall close the Institute of Spanish Studies. In any case, we will not be responsible if the type of lodging requested can’t be found.
We have chosen all our families after a rigorous selection process to make sure that you will feel at home.
The distance from the host family to the Institute is under 30 minutes.
The home stay includes 3 meals a day, laundry and room cleaning once a week.
During the home stay a student will have his/her own room (single or shared depending on your preference) and will be able to use the rest of the common areas such as living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom.
If a student wants to change to another family, he/she must speak with the coordinator and explain what the problem is. The coordinator will speak with the student and the host family and after evaluating the situation will find an acceptable solution. If the conflict cannot be resolved, the student will move to another host family with no extra cost.
We recommend that you arrive on the Sunday before your course starts and stay until the day after classes end. It is possible to reserve additional nights at an extra cost.
